I was pretty excited to buy my first bottle or
box of wine after drinking a bit the knowledge coming from Professor Bower.
Picking the wine was a bit challenging because I wanted to make the time spent
watching the lecture worth it; although not being American born, I was looking
for something sweet but neither too light or heavy bodied. After 4 or
5 minutes I ended up nearing down my option to just Fruity sangria and Moscato.
I chose sangria because I have heard all good things about it, and because I
have tried before although not in large quantity
Swirl and Sniff. I had to do it; after doing it,
I felt a little wine snob coming outta me ahahaha. I poured the exact amount into
glass, I swirled couple times and induced the wine legs just for fun, then I sniffed
twice and I smelled a mixed of fruit that wasn’t quit identifiable. The wine
has a medium body, taste sweet but leaves you with sour taste that might be
because of tannin once that it was red wine.
Balance. Sugar, alcohol, acid, and tannis are
all in balance. I couldn’t tell neither if I had too much sugar, or other 3
balance component because they all canceled each other. I bought a 3L box that
costed me only 10 bucks and I don’t regret
it, the wine is worth it. The instruction suggest grilled sausage as pairing as
well as stuffed pepper, instead I paired with Portuguese cosine (Curry rice
with black beans accompanied with French fries and grilled chicken) and it felt
fantastic. I am on my second cop and starting feeling a little tips, therefore
I’ll end this blog before I call my ex.
